Free-standing Mathematic Qualifications are assessed using a combination of coursework portfolio and written examination.

AS Use of Mathematics is also assessed using coursework portfolios and written examinations. Each component is assessed separately and students may be awarded one or more components even if they do not pass the full AS. Each component earns UCAS points.
