FSMQ at Manchester

The Manchester FSMQ team was heavily involved with the development of Freestanding Mathematics Qualifications and the AS in the Use of Mathematics acting in a consultative capacity to QCA. This work involved development of specifications, assessment processes and materials, and evaluation & research.

The team continue to be involved in supporting and assessing Free-standing Mathematics Qualifications and AS: Use of Mathematics.

The people
June Haighton works on the development of teaching and learning resources and is also involved in the assessment of FSMQs.

Anne Haworth helped to develop FSMQs and plan INSET for teachers offering AS: Use of Mathematics.

Geoff Wake, the team leader, remains very active in the assessment of FSMQs and AS: Use of Mathematics.

Lawrence Y Wo, the team's administrator has also helped to develop teaching resources including spreadsheets for use with FSMQs.
